2 year surgery anniversary

I can't believe its been 2 years already since I had my surgery. It was January 28, 2008. Two years ago I was sipping on clear broth for my meals. I can now eat just about anything I want. I still watch the rice and pasta because that usually doesn't sit right on my tummy. I have lost 245 pounds and stay between 191-195. The dr. said that was good. I'm done losing. They only way I will loose anymore is to have plastic surgery. I am going to check on it and see what it will cost and if there is any way I can get medicare to pay for it or some of it. I go to the dr. for my 2 year check up around the 17th of Feb.

This new picture of me was taken today outside of church. Its the official 2 yr. since surgery picture.

Our church just finished celebrating its 100th birthday. We had a weekend of fun. We had several families come in from out of town that I hadn't seen for many years. It was fun seeing everyone.

Connor went to the dr. this week for his 4 month check up and shots. He weighed 13.5 lbs. and was 24 1/4 inches long. He is getting so big. He likes to sit up and he will roll from his stomach to his back. He is getting such a cute personality. He lies and talks to his toys. When I have him at Denise's Jeremy loves to rock him either in his car seat or the little rocker that Jeremy used to love. Its to cute!
Well that is all I can think of today.

More of Connor

I realized today as I came into my blog that I should change the name of it. I think I have lost all the weight I have to lose except for if I have plastic surgery to remove all the hanging skin I have left. If I'm able to do that I will probably loose another 15 to 20 lbs. Right now I am weighing between 191-195. My doctor said that is good. It will be two years since the surgery on the 28th of this month. I can't believe that it has gone by so fast. I'm posting a new picture that was taken about a week ago. I have been able to find me some jeans that I like that has a zipper in them, just wish they were low riders because they come up almost to my bust, by they are a straight 18 not an 18W.
Connor is doing great. All he wants to do is sit up. If he is lying down he is trying to sit up. He loves to sit in the Bumbo. I'm posting a couple of pics of him sitting in it. They were taken on 1/15 at Denise's house. Jeremy is so cute with him, he went into his room and brought out one of his blankets and gave it to Connor. We use the receiving blankets as spit up towels, cause he spits up a lot. The other couple of pictures I'm posting I took last night 1/21 at my house. He goes to the doctors this coming week for his 4 month check-up and shots I'm sure. He is getting so big.

If anyone has been reading my facebook page then you know we have been infested with fleas. I have sprayed the yard, bombed the house and bathed the dogs. Hope that clears it all up.
Well January is almost over, where does the time go!

Happy New Year

Wow, where did the year go! So much happened last year. Scott got engaged and became a father. Jen and Dan relocated to Illinois and came down here twice to visit. George ended up in the hospital for a week. I on the other hand have been healthy.

I got on the scale this morning for the first time this year and it said that I have lost 3 more pounds putting me down to 188. I haven't been this low since I don't know when. I am able to wear size 18W jeans. I want to go try on a pair that has a zipper in them and see how they fit. The ones I have now are just a pull on with an elastic waist. I will need someone to take another picture of me to post, most of the ones I have I am sitting down.
I am really wrapped up in my grandson. I just can't get enough of the little guy. I took him to church with me this past Sunday and he was a good little boy. I put him to sleep right after the service begun and he slept until it was time for communion.

Scott and Amber are getting ready to move into her mother's house here in Harlingen. Her mother remarried and they have moved into his house in Rio Hondo. I have taken them boxes and they are getting things moved over.

I took Connor to the Wed. night dinner at church this past Wed. It was a Chili cook off and all the Chili's that I tasted were good. My good friend Beth's Chili won First Place. It was delicious!!! Connor slept through most of it. He is getting so cute, he coos and laughs now. He wants to sit up all the time.

We have had a cold front come through yesterday. The temp. this morning is about 35 degrees. It is a little breezy and expecting a freeze tonight. I have sorta covered some of my roses we'll see how they do.

Hope everyone had a great and safe New Year's Day. Here are a few pics of Connor taken this past week.

Connor really likes his bouncer chair and talks to Big Bird and Cookie Monster all the time. Elmo is missing because our dog Misty decided to take him off. Gramma left the bouncer in the living room several days before the dog decided to help herself to Elmo, now I will have to add another toy to it.
