Easter has come and gone!

Happy Easter to Everyone!
We had a nice Easter this year. We went to Monica's mom and step dad's again. They have a pool and a nice yard for hunting eggs. Some of the kids braved the pool, the water was too cold for this person to go in. The kids all had a blast hunting the eggs.

Good news, George went out and cut the grass last week. He did it without being asked to. I asked him to go out and pick up the branches that had broke off the tree and he said that he was going to cut grass. He did a good job too. Since starting on the abilify he has improved. He has not stayed in bed for about a month now. He gets up every day and gets dressed.

I've been doing okay. I have lost a couple of pounds. It has been too windy to ride my bike. We had wind gusts of about 30 mph today. Hope they die down soon.

Connor had a great Easter. The Easter bunny left him socks, books, sippy cups, mickey mouse plate but no candy. Even his Auntie Jen and Uncle Dan sent him a basket. It was a cute Monkey basket with a monkey bank, books, little towels, I loved it. We put Connor in the chair and set the baskets around him.
We also took him to see the Easter Bunny. He did really well this year, I'm sure next year he will be screaming when he sees him.
Connor is 6 months old already and likes to be sitting if he is not crawling around on the floor. I got the walker from Judi this past week and he loves it. I have it at our house, there is more room for him to move around.
I hope you like the new pictures, here is one of the happy parents and one of all the kiddos, enjoy.

Good news, bad news.

Well I know it had to happen. I went in today for my two year check up(yes I know that it was two years the end of January). The good news is that all my blood work came out great. The bad news was that I had gained 5 lbs since I saw him last(that would have been about 8 months ago). I told the doc that this past month I have had head hunger that I have given in to. He told me he understood that happens but I have to say NO. I put my foot down to myself yesterday and said NO MORE. I will eat only what I am suppose to. He told me to come back in 3 months instead of 6 because I have been bad, and that I needed to lose 8 lbs. He also told me that I should weigh 195 lbs. That is the first time that he has given me a weight to be at. I will be happy at that weight.

Now that is it getting nice out I will get out more to ride my bike and do more yard work. I like the fact that it is staying light longer in the evening but don't like getting up in the dark.

I'm sure I will get some feed back on this post and I deserve everything you say. I promise I'm going to get back on the straight and narrow. Thanks.

Spring is in the air

It has finally warmed up. The trees are in full bud and the flowers are starting to bloom. Ahhh Spring. It has been in the high 70's to low 80's the last few days. It was really foggy this morning when I went out, but burned off rather quickly.

I have mowed the grass, weed eated and watered the grass today. The yard looks pretty good. It needs to be reseeded in spots in the back. Since I have to do all the work it will get done eventually.

What else do I do, you ask? I still watch Hollie and Jeremy several days a week and also Connor. Jeremy is really cute with Connor. He still enjoys rocking him and giving him toys. The first thing that Jeremy does when he gets up from his nap is run down the hall to the living room to see if Connor is there. Its so cute.

I thought you might enjoy a few of these pictures. The first one is Jeremy making a fashion statement. He loves to wear hats.

Connor is now 5 months old. He does not like to be on his back very often, he rolls all over. If he is on his tummy he is trying to get up on all fours. He wants to be on the move. He wants to sit up and tries his best to accomplish this. He likes the exersauce that I have here and his aunt Judi has one she is going to loan to Amber and Scott. We are just passing around baby stuff right and left.

He is also eating baby food now. He seems to like everything he has been given so far. He tries to grab the spoon as you are trying to get it to his mouth, its too cute! Gramma just likes to brag on him.

We are doing fine. I think that maybe George's new medicine might be making a difference. He has gotten up everyday since Sunday and has gotten dressed each day but today, but he did shower and change his pj's. Hope he keeps it up. As I said in the beginning, I do all the work so that about sums up me. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

2 year surgery anniversary

I can't believe its been 2 years already since I had my surgery. It was January 28, 2008. Two years ago I was sipping on clear broth for my meals. I can now eat just about anything I want. I still watch the rice and pasta because that usually doesn't sit right on my tummy. I have lost 245 pounds and stay between 191-195. The dr. said that was good. I'm done losing. They only way I will loose anymore is to have plastic surgery. I am going to check on it and see what it will cost and if there is any way I can get medicare to pay for it or some of it. I go to the dr. for my 2 year check up around the 17th of Feb.

This new picture of me was taken today outside of church. Its the official 2 yr. since surgery picture.

Our church just finished celebrating its 100th birthday. We had a weekend of fun. We had several families come in from out of town that I hadn't seen for many years. It was fun seeing everyone.

Connor went to the dr. this week for his 4 month check up and shots. He weighed 13.5 lbs. and was 24 1/4 inches long. He is getting so big. He likes to sit up and he will roll from his stomach to his back. He is getting such a cute personality. He lies and talks to his toys. When I have him at Denise's Jeremy loves to rock him either in his car seat or the little rocker that Jeremy used to love. Its to cute!
Well that is all I can think of today.

More of Connor

I realized today as I came into my blog that I should change the name of it. I think I have lost all the weight I have to lose except for if I have plastic surgery to remove all the hanging skin I have left. If I'm able to do that I will probably loose another 15 to 20 lbs. Right now I am weighing between 191-195. My doctor said that is good. It will be two years since the surgery on the 28th of this month. I can't believe that it has gone by so fast. I'm posting a new picture that was taken about a week ago. I have been able to find me some jeans that I like that has a zipper in them, just wish they were low riders because they come up almost to my bust, by they are a straight 18 not an 18W.
Connor is doing great. All he wants to do is sit up. If he is lying down he is trying to sit up. He loves to sit in the Bumbo. I'm posting a couple of pics of him sitting in it. They were taken on 1/15 at Denise's house. Jeremy is so cute with him, he went into his room and brought out one of his blankets and gave it to Connor. We use the receiving blankets as spit up towels, cause he spits up a lot. The other couple of pictures I'm posting I took last night 1/21 at my house. He goes to the doctors this coming week for his 4 month check-up and shots I'm sure. He is getting so big.

If anyone has been reading my facebook page then you know we have been infested with fleas. I have sprayed the yard, bombed the house and bathed the dogs. Hope that clears it all up.
Well January is almost over, where does the time go!

Happy New Year

Wow, where did the year go! So much happened last year. Scott got engaged and became a father. Jen and Dan relocated to Illinois and came down here twice to visit. George ended up in the hospital for a week. I on the other hand have been healthy.

I got on the scale this morning for the first time this year and it said that I have lost 3 more pounds putting me down to 188. I haven't been this low since I don't know when. I am able to wear size 18W jeans. I want to go try on a pair that has a zipper in them and see how they fit. The ones I have now are just a pull on with an elastic waist. I will need someone to take another picture of me to post, most of the ones I have I am sitting down.
I am really wrapped up in my grandson. I just can't get enough of the little guy. I took him to church with me this past Sunday and he was a good little boy. I put him to sleep right after the service begun and he slept until it was time for communion.

Scott and Amber are getting ready to move into her mother's house here in Harlingen. Her mother remarried and they have moved into his house in Rio Hondo. I have taken them boxes and they are getting things moved over.

I took Connor to the Wed. night dinner at church this past Wed. It was a Chili cook off and all the Chili's that I tasted were good. My good friend Beth's Chili won First Place. It was delicious!!! Connor slept through most of it. He is getting so cute, he coos and laughs now. He wants to sit up all the time.

We have had a cold front come through yesterday. The temp. this morning is about 35 degrees. It is a little breezy and expecting a freeze tonight. I have sorta covered some of my roses we'll see how they do.

Hope everyone had a great and safe New Year's Day. Here are a few pics of Connor taken this past week.

Connor really likes his bouncer chair and talks to Big Bird and Cookie Monster all the time. Elmo is missing because our dog Misty decided to take him off. Gramma left the bouncer in the living room several days before the dog decided to help herself to Elmo, now I will have to add another toy to it.

Jen and Dan's visit

Where did the time go. It seems like they just got here and they left today. It was sure great having them here. They got a lot accomplished while here. They painted the front bedroom and laid vinyl floor tile down. Dan also fixed any holes in the walls and re-textured where he patched. They also did the hall bathroom. We painted the vanity cabinet, put in a new toilet, towel bars, and moved the toilet paper holder to a different wall. Dan repaired holes in the bathroom too. Since we decided to put in a new toilet we used the same floor tiles from the bedroom for the bathroom. We also put in a new light fixture over the mirror. It is so bright in there now. The rooms look so nice now. I still need to get new baseboard for both rooms but I think I can put that down with no problems.
Here are a few pictures from Christmas.

You can probably make out who the pictures are of. The one is from Connor's baptism, there is one of Kennedy and Karson giving Connor a bottle, and the rest is of our family. Hope you enjoy them.
